Media Encoding Tool
The OpenIPMP Media Encoder Tool is used to protect media assets and register them with the system. The tool handles the necessary client side cryptographic functions required to provide persistent protection of media assets.

Media Player Tool
The OpenIPMP Media Player Tool allows users to consume OpenIPMP protected content. The tools handle communication with the server side components to resolve rights and acquire licenses that are necessary to consume protected content.

User Registration Service
The OpenIPMP User Registration Service is the server side component of the system that allows users to register themselves with the system. During the user registration process, users are issued their unique identity and security credentials that are required to access system resources. All communications between the OpenIPMP client side components and the User Registration Service occur over a secure communication channel.

Content Management Service
The OpenIPMP Content Management Service is the server side component of the system that allows content owners to register new content and digital assets and to manage previously registered items. Upon completing the content registration processes, assets are under the protection of the framework. All communications between the OpenIPMP client side components and the Content Management Service occur over a secure communication channel.

Rights Authorization Service
The OpenIPMP Rights Authorization Service is the server side component of the system that allows content owners, or agents commissioned on their behalf, to assign and manage rights to registered content. All communications between the OpenIPMP client side components and the Rights Authorization Service occur over a secure communication channel.

License Management Service
The OpenIPMP License Management Service is the server side component of the system that manages requests for licenses from client components and prepares secure licenses for users who have been previously issued rights to content. All communications between the OpenIPMP client side components and the License Management Service occur over a secure communication channel.

Administration Tool
The OpenIPMP Administration Tool allows an administrator to configure the system according the specific needs of an organization.
